Duke of Edinburgh:

Supporting Young People Through the Duke of Edinburgh Awards

Codford Parish Council is proud to champion the aspirations and achievements of our local young people by supporting their journey through the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards.

Why We Support DofE

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is more than just a badge, it’s a transformative experience that builds confidence, resilience, and leadership. Whether it’s volunteering, learning new skills, or tackling outdoor challenges, the programme empowers young people to grow and thrive.
As a Parish Council, we believe in investing in the future of our community. By supporting DofE participants, we’re helping to nurture the next generation of responsible, capable, and community-minded individuals.

How We Help

Codford Parish Council offers practical and moral support to help young people access and complete their DofE programmes. This includes:

  • Providing equipment needed to volunteer
  • Volunteering Opportunities within parish initiatives
  • Mentorship and Guidance from community members and councillors
  • Recognition and Celebration of achievements at local events

We work closely with young people to ensure that no young person is held back from participating due to luck of mentors or supervisors.
