Codford Parish Council is proud to announce the launch of its new Book Stop, a vibrant community book exchange created by volunteers and housed in a repurposed bus shelter. This initiative invites residents and visitors to “Take a Book, Share a Story,” fostering literacy, connection, and sustainability.
The Book Stop is the result of a collaborative effort by local volunteers who refurbished the shelter, curated initial book donations, and made it welcome readers of all ages. The Book Stop promises to be a joyful addition to Codford’s community spaces.

Thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers and financial support from the Codford Fireworks Working Group, our village bus shelter has been transformed into a charming book exchange. It’s a place to take a book, leave a book, and connect with neighbours through stories.
The official opening was led by the Chairman of the Parish Council, with fantastic turnout from the community. A proud moment for Codford!
